I’m having a few problems once again with my recording equipment at home, thus i haven’t been able to drop a mix this month. At this point there is no doubt that i have to upgrade from recording my mixes thru CD blanks to a digital format, but due to laziness and just an outright refusal to use new tech it hasn’t happened. But after a handful of attempts of messing with this recorder the past couple of weekends (CD ERROR-13! CD ERROR-13!) my blood level just can’t take it any longer lol. I’ll hopefully have something done by next weekend before the month is over but if not stay tuned in April for that new mixtape. Might even do a double one to make up for it.

Here’s a Cagefather mix to hold ya’ll down till then…

Via ‘Speak Out w/ Tim Wise’ podcast

How should antiracists respond to resurgent white nationalism in the age of Trump? Non-violently, or with a mix of tactics that might include those of antifa, which regularly confronts neo-Nazis and other reactionaries in the streets? Although non-violence is almost always strategically wise and ethically recommended, the romanticization of non-violence by some liberals and progressives is unhelpful and entirely a-historical. In this commentary, I discuss the need to contextualize our strategies and above all else to never fall into the trap of thinking that defensive violence against fascism is the moral equivalent of fascism itself.
